Mark Dorner has advanced into his title of Chief Engineer after starting as a Design Engineer in 2004. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, with emphasis in Internal Combustion Engines. He has diversified design experience and has worked on projects for Caterpillar, Freightliner, AM General, and various defense applications. He is experienced in PTC Creo CAD and GT Suite engine simulation software. Dorner has developed Baker’s engineering test lab and directed development of the engine data acquisition software in use today.

Dorner is an integral part of the engineering research & development team at Baker Engineering and is involved in the design of new engine concepts. His experiences include expertise in heavy fuel Rotary engines, Opposed-piston Turbo Diesel Engines, Two-cycle engines, Nutating Disk Engine development, Common Rail Fuel Systems, Engine ECU programming, and circuit design.
